Tracey Priest
Tracey is a 30+- year veteran of the consumer package goods industry rich with experience in both sales and marketing. In his early career, Tracey held several sales positions at blue chip companies such as Quaker Oats and Tropicana advancing to senior executive sales roles with brands which included developing and managing a national broker networks. Tracey made the switch from carrying a bag to leading marketing initiatives with Bayer Consumer Care driving their One-A-Day, Alka-Seltzer and Bayer aspirin brands. Tracey’s leadership drove the execution of account specific programs increasing both market share and sales with large retailers in all classes of trade (Mass, Food, Drug, Club, and Natural). In his last position on the manufacturing side, Tracey led a marketing team that developed a proprietary private label brand of baby diapers for the world’s largest retailer.
Tracey has owned and operated his own marketing, sales and trade marketing consulting firm working with some of the most established CPG companies: large firms such as Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer to well-known emerging brands such as Limitless Brew Coffee, Smarty Pants Vitamins and Koia to name just a few. Tracey has utilized his sales and marketing experience to assist his clients in increasing distribution, brand awareness and sales through innovative business building strategies. Tracey has personally helped drive distribution at most of the major retailers in the Food, Drug, Mass, Club, and Specialty classes of trade. Tracey excels at developing trial building programs across retail channels through the connections he has developed over the years.
Tracey and Bruce got together during covid to develop the Road 2 Retail podcast in an effort to help small and emerging challenger brands navigate the retail landscape and prepare for growth.

Bruce Montgomery
Bruce Montgomery has been in consumer packaged goods (CPG) for the vast majority of his 30+ year career. After three years working in sports marketing, Bruce earned his MBA from the University of Notre Dame and joined Bayer Consumer Care in brand management. After a stint with Bank of America working on new product development and digital marketing, Bruce joined Fleet Laboratories holding leadership positions overseeing marketing, sales, business development, new product development, market research, logistics, and Canadian & South American business expansion. Bruce also works with Bourne Partners Strategic Capital as the Operating Partner for their Consumer Health initiatives – having served as Chief Commercial Officer for Carlin Consumer Health.
Over the course of his career, among the brands he has worked on include: Alka-Seltzer, Phillips Milk of Magnesia, Good Karma, Colace, Blue Dog Bakery, Applegate Farms, Bahlsen Cookies, Chock full o’ Nuts, Kauai Coffee, Theraworx, Senokot, Zegerid OTC, Summer’s Eve, Midol, Visa, Volvo, Community Coffee, Pedia-Lax, Phazyme, Boudreaux’s Butt Paste and more.
In 2021, Bruce co-founded the Road 2 Retail with Tracey Priest to help emerging, small & challenger brands sharpen their go to market strategies, build out their growth plans, work through challenges & opportunities, and help source capital if necessary.
Outside of work, Bruce is past Board Chair of Hospitality House of Charlotte, prior member of Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) committees, co-founder of the Blue Ridge Lacrosse Club, co-founder of the Andrew Daniels Fish Stewardship Foundation (Muskoka Region, Ontario Canada), and is currently a fellow to the Mendoza College of Business at Notre Dame.
